about

Sam Kogon interviews Dave Davies just weeks after the official release of his famous "lost album", Hidden Treasures. The two discuss the early days of The Kinks and the origins of the bands name. Davies goes into detail about how he created his legendary guitar sound, seemingly by accident.

Moving through his work with The Kinks "kronologically", Dave goes into talk about the golden era of The Kinks (1968-1973), during which Dave was pushed by Pye Records to record a solo album. Unenthusiastic about the terms and conditions of recording a solo record, the record was scrapped aside...until now.

Davies goes on to talk about the deeper meaning of his timeless songs "Mindless Child of Motherhood" and "Susannah's Still Alive".

The interview goes into Dave's thoughts on spirituality using experiences from his past and present to explain his perception of universe, and time.
